Common uses include:
- Serial number and VIN plates
- Equipment branding and safety signage
- Overlay and control panels
- Industrial tags and labels
Material Options
Our nameplates are manufactured using high-quality metals and laminates designed for durability and clarity.
Engraved Laminates (e.g. Traffolyte) – Rigid or semi-rigid materials with color layers for industrial tags and signs
Aluminium – Anodized and anodically printed for permanent data and graphics
Stainless Steel – Chemically etched and paint-filled for corporate images, barcodes, and serial data
Brass – Available for etching and aesthetic finishes
Engraved Laminates
For industrial settings that require rugged labels or overlays, engraved laminates provide a reliable solution. Often referred to as Traffolyte, these multi-layered plastics are engraved to expose a contrasting color beneath the surface.
- Available in a wide range of color combinations
- Ideal for labels, tags, signs, and control overlays
- Suitable for extreme environments and industrial use
We also offer engraving and routing services for aluminium plates and panels, including anodized aluminium with custom data.
Chemical Etching: Precision and Permanence
Chemical etching is a durable method used to mark stainless steel and brass. It creates a crisp, permanent impression that can withstand harsh conditions.
Process overview:
- A reverse image is printed to mask the desired design
- The unprotected areas are exposed to acid
- Etching depth is controlled through timing and exposure
- Optional paint or ink infill adds clarity and visibility
Applications include:
- VIN and chassis plates
- Identification tags
- High-detail branding and informational plates
Natural etch finishes (no infill) are also available.
Anodized Aluminium: Built for Harsh Environments
This process embeds the graphic directly into the aluminium, offering long-term durability for outdoor and industrial applications.
Key benefits:
- Ink is sealed within the aluminium’s porous surface
- Resistant to weather, abrasion, and chemicals
- Ideal for equipment overlays, data plates, and vehicle markers
This method is widely used for industries requiring high resilience, such as transportation, manufacturing, and heavy equipment.
