Exterior & Interior Nameplates
Prestige vehicle manufacturers require nameplates that reflect the quality of the marque. Our custom nameplates are produced in chemically etched and milled stainless steel and aluminium, finished to exacting tolerances – whether that is a bonnet badge, a model designation plate or a bespoke sill tread. Our etching process achieves fine detail down to 0.1 mm, allowing complex logotypes and heraldic crests to be reproduced with the sharpness that premium automotive brands demand.
Under-Bonnet & Technical Labels
Under-bonnet environments expose labels to engine heat, oil mist, coolant splashes and sustained vibration. Our polycarbonate and polyester labels are manufactured to withstand continuous operating temperatures well above 150 °C and are tested against BS EN ISO 7000 and relevant IATF 16949 traceability requirements. Ratings plates, torque specifications, fluid identification and HV warning labels for battery electric vehicles are produced with aggressive adhesive systems suited to powder-coated, galvanised and e-coated steel surfaces.
EV & Hybrid Applications
The transition to electric and hybrid powertrains introduces new labelling obligations. High-voltage warning labels to IEC 60417-5036, battery chemistry identification and charge-point graphics are all areas where Lexicraft supports OEMs and tier-one suppliers. Our graphic overlay capability extends to EV charging interface panels, where membrane switch technology and tactile embossing can be integrated into a single component – reducing part count and simplifying assembly.
Domed Badges for Interior Trim & Accessories
Domed badges deliver a premium, three-dimensional finish for interior trim, tool kits, service accessories and owner handbooks. Unlike flat-printed alternatives, a domed badge resists scratching, UV fading and solvent attack – key considerations for components that remain in service for the lifetime of the vehicle. Substrates range from standard vinyl to brushed stainless steel effect materials, with Pantone-accurate colour matching for brand-critical applications.
Decals for Exterior Branding & Specification Graphics
Exterior model designation graphics, body stripe kits and specification decals are produced using screen and digital print with CAD/CAM cutting. Our custom decals are available in cast vinyl with protective laminate for long-term resistance to UV, car washing and road debris – essential for graphics that must remain crisp through a vehicle’s full operational life.
Traceability & Compliance
With automotive supply chains under increasing scrutiny, label-level traceability matters. Lexicraft integrates sequential numbering, barcodes, QR codes and DataMatrix codes into nameplate and label designs, supporting AIAG and VDA-compliant part identification. We work with customers’ existing engineering drawing and approval workflows, and can supply test samples for adhesion, chemical resistance and thermal cycling prior to series production sign-off.
